The Klarna ‘Smoooth Payments’ Campaign

According to Taxi Media’s Head of Marketing David Sole, the Klarna ‘Smoooth Payments’ campaign was great. “They’ve been in online payments for over a decade now and see shopping as a fun, emotional thing, so it follows that paying and managing your finances should be too. I think that’s reflected really well in their taxi campaign.”

Klarna is now one of Europe’s largest banks, providing payment solutions for 60 million consumers across 100,000 merchants in 14 countries. They offer a smooth, one-click purchase experience that lets consumers pay when and how they want.

The Klarna Smoooth Payments campaign ran for four months and featured full livery wraps and supersides. The taxis and their drivers took centre stage in several PR activities too, appearing in photo shoots and getting involved in VIP transfers at promotional events.

Mark Williams, one of the ‘Smoooth Payments’ drivers, is enjoying being part of the campaign. “I did a photo shoot for Curb and saw the pictures on social media just hours later. All very exciting – and I got paid for just turning up, looking smoooth and saying cheese!”
